Since the traditional boluses used in Cancer Treatment by Radiation therapy are not so efficient, Dr. James Robar from Dalhousie University started a research that led to four devices: Electron Beam Therapy, Photon Beam Therapy, Immobilization Device and Brachy therapy. The products developed through this research are the basis for the startup company 3D Bolus and the technology is being used in clinics in Ireland and Israel.
