Researchers develop Customized 3D Printed Ear Implants for Conductive Hearing Loss

Researchers from the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) have developed customized prosthetic implants for patients with Conductive Hearing Loss of ear. Removing the middle ear bone in ossicular chain, they then used a CT scanner to capture the imaging data. The Prosthetic implants were 3D Printed using Formalabs Form 2 after being designed with Materialise Mimics Innovation Suite software.
