Cancer Patient with destroyed Nose recovers with 3D Printing

Jerry Faber, a patient of cancer underwent multiple surgeries to correct his facial anatomy, however, they failed to recover the disrupted nose he had been left with. Dr. Travis Bellicchi, a fourth-year maxillofacial prosthodontics resident at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, considered the case and 3D Scanned Faber’s face, creating a digital model and then 3D Printing the perfect nasal part for Faber which was implanted within 24hrs.
