Medacta, a company based in Switzerland had recently developed 3DMetal Tibial Cones which received FDA clearance and these provide structural support in bone deficient disorders along with implant. The technology received its first success in surgery performed by Kevin Hardt and David Manning, MD at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.
