Gaza, a Palestinian territory is suffering the lack in basic medical equipment, including the stethoscopes. Seeing the terrific conditions at hospitals, Dr. Loubani started Glia Project, which aims to give doctors a way of manufacturing their own inexpensive medical equipment. Dr. Loubani designed and 3D printed a stethoscope that cost under a dollar which was manufactured using his own-built 3D printer from open-source designs online.
