The speed and accuracy of intraoral scanning has long been considered the technology bottleneck in adoption of digital dentistry. At IDS in Cologne, the largest dental tradeshow in the world, 3Shape introduced their new wireless intraoral scanner, and held a scanning competition with some dentists completing full arch scans in under 20 seconds.
