Organovo (NYSE: ONVO) announced today that they entered into a multi-year research collaboration agreement with Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp. (NYSE: MRK).

Organovo entered into a Research Collaboration Agreement with L’Oreal USA Products, agreeing to collaborate on the development of skin tissue models utilizing the Organovo's proprietary NovoGen Bioprinting Platform and skin cell technology developed by L’Oreal. 

In Organovo's financial conference call today, Keith Murphy, Organovo’s chief executive officer, indicated that “response to the exVive3D Human Liver Tissue has been strong, and in line with our expectations.  We continue to expect this tissue to grow into the tens of millions in annual revenue, and that it has $100M+ revenue potential.

Keith Murphy, CEO of Organovo, stated that his company will be able to 3D print partial organs within the next 4-6 years. These partial organs could be used to repair damaged organs, such as the liver, providing valuable time to patients as they await a full transplant.

Likely stemmed by the recent drop in their share price, Organovo put forth a detailed explanation for their secondary offering of $40 million in shares, explaining why they’ve taken this route, and what it will mean for their 3D printed human tissue moving forward. 

Organovo Holdings, Inc. (NYSE MKT: ONVO) announced the sale of 9,425,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering at a price to the public of $4.25 per share.

With successful launch of it's product exVive3D™ Human Liver Tissue in November 2014, Organovo Holdings company has started to extend its feet in the market of 3D Printing.
